Help with WeekSlice, and how to reach us.

Answers to common questions. Still stuck? Email support@222mediagrp.com and a person will reply.

WeekSlice is made by a one-person studio, and a person reads every message. Most answers are below. If yours isn't, email support@222mediagrp.com.

Some answers mention the app's own Settings. To open them, tap the gear on the Home tab. Other answers point to your device's Settings app, and say so.

How do I get my plan on my other devices?

WeekSlice syncs through your own iCloud account. On each iPhone or iPad:

  • Sign in with the same Apple Account.
  • Open your device's Settings app, tap your name, then tap iCloud. Under Saved to iCloud, tap See All and make sure WeekSlice is turned on.
  • Make sure your iCloud storage isn't full. Sync stops when it is.
  • Open WeekSlice and give it a little while on Wi-Fi. Sync isn't instant, and Low Power Mode can slow it down.

If you aren't signed in to iCloud, everything stays on that one device.

If you see a built-in week template twice after syncing, you can delete the extra one.

Some things never sync, by design: your name, daily goal, streaks, progress toward awards (awards you've earned do sync), appearance and haptics, whether calendar events are shown, and which calendars you've hidden. These stay on the device where you set them.

Why aren't my reminders arriving?

  • Check that notifications are allowed: in your device's Settings app, go to Notifications > WeekSlice > Allow Notifications.
  • Check whether a Focus is silencing them: Settings > Focus. Add WeekSlice as an allowed app if you want its reminders to come through.
  • If you use Scheduled Summary, WeekSlice reminders might be held for the summary. Check Settings > Notifications > Scheduled Summary.
  • Reminders are scheduled on each device separately and don't come from a server. On a new device, open the app once. If you use recurring reminders, open the Reminders tab once too.
  • A task reminder only fires if the task has a reminder time set. Open the task and check.

Why don't I see my calendar events?

  • In WeekSlice, tap the gear on the Home tab to open Settings. Under Calendar, turn on Show calendar events, then tap Allow calendar access.
  • If you said no earlier, the app shows "Calendar access is off in iOS Settings". Turn access back on in your device's Settings app: Apps > WeekSlice > Calendars, and choose Full Access.
  • If you've hidden a calendar in WeekSlice, its events won't appear.
  • The event has to be in your device's own Calendar app first. If it's missing there, check Settings > Apps > Calendar > Calendar Accounts.
  • Widgets show timed events only. All-day events don't appear in widgets.

WeekSlice only reads your calendar. It never adds, changes or deletes events.

Why is my widget out of date?

Widgets show a snapshot that WeekSlice saves whenever you open the app, leave it, or add a task with Siri or Shortcuts. If a widget looks stale, open the app, then go back to the Home Screen.

If you tick a task in a widget, the app records it the next time you open it. The same applies if you turn calendar events on or off: widgets catch up after you leave the app.

Your device also limits how often widgets refresh, so a short delay is expected.

How do I move to a new iPhone or iPad?

  • On your old device, check that iCloud is on for WeekSlice (see the first question). Open the app so it can finish syncing.
  • On the new device, sign in with the same Apple Account, install WeekSlice, open it, and wait for your plan to arrive.
  • Open the Reminders tab once so your recurring reminders get scheduled on the new device.

Your name, goals, streaks, progress toward awards and app settings don't travel through sync. They're part of your device backup, though. If you set up the new device from an iCloud backup or with Quick Start, they come along. If you set it up as new, they start fresh. Awards you've earned sync either way.

How do I erase my data?

In WeekSlice, tap the gear on the Home tab to open Settings. Under Data, tap Erase all data, then tap Erase everything. This deletes your tasks, routines, side quests, meals, recipes, chores, reminders, templates, shopping list, saved menus and earned awards. The built-in week templates are then put back. The built-in recipes are not, so your recipe library will be empty.

Erasing clears this device. It may not remove the copy in iCloud or on your other devices. To remove everything everywhere, see the next question.

Some things are not erased:

  • Your name, daily goal, streaks, progress toward awards, hidden-calendar list, whether calendar events are shown, and appearance and haptics settings stay on the device.
  • The calendar access you granted stays on, because your device's settings hold it. Change it in your device's Settings app: Apps > WeekSlice > Calendars.
  • Reminders already scheduled for your tasks, and the widget's snapshot, are cleared the next time you leave the app or open it again. After erasing, go to the Home Screen once.

What happens if I delete the app?

Deleting WeekSlice removes everything it stored on that device, including your name, streaks, settings, widget data and scheduled reminders.

The copy in your iCloud stays there. If you reinstall the app, or install it on another device with the same Apple Account, your plan syncs back.

To remove everything for good:

  • Delete WeekSlice from every device that has it.
  • Then open your device's Settings app, tap your name, tap iCloud, then Manage Account Storage. If WeekSlice is listed, tap it, then delete its data.
  • If WeekSlice isn't listed there, email support@222mediagrp.com and we'll walk you through the options.

Deleting the app's iCloud data can't be undone, and we have no copy to restore.

Can you see my data?

We can't see what's in the app. WeekSlice has no account or sign-in, and the app contains no analytics, ads or tracking. The app doesn't send your content to us, or to anyone other than Apple, which handles iCloud sync and Siri. Your content lives on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your private iCloud database, which Apple runs and we can't access.

We only see two things:

  • what you choose to send us by email, including any screenshots or recordings;
  • if you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, the aggregated usage statistics and crash reports Apple gives us. These come from Apple, not from the app, and are not designed to include the content of your tasks or plans.

Siri does its own processing when you use the app's Siri and Shortcuts actions, and iCloud does its own network work to sync. Apple's privacy policy covers those.

Calendar events are read from your device as you view them. The app doesn't save them in its database or sync them. The only exception is the widget: when calendar events are turned on, the widget's on-device snapshot includes event titles and times so it can show them.

Full details, including how we handle support emails, are in our Privacy Policy.

My task names show on the Lock Screen. Can I hide them?

Yes. Reminders and Lock Screen widgets show task titles, and calendar event titles if you've turned calendar events on.

  • For reminders, open your device's Settings app, go to Notifications > WeekSlice > Show Previews, and choose When Unlocked or Never.
  • For widgets, remove the WeekSlice widget from your Lock Screen. Touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize, then remove it.

How do I contact support, and what should I include?

Email support@222mediagrp.com. It helps to include:

  • your device model and operating system version (in your device's Settings app, under General > About);
  • the WeekSlice version (in the app, tap the gear on the Home tab; it's under About);
  • what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead;
  • whether iCloud is on for WeekSlice, if the problem is about sync;
  • a screenshot or screen recording, if you can.

We can't see your data, so we may ask you to describe what's on screen. Please don't send passwords or anything you'd rather keep private.

Can I suggest a feature?

Yes, please. Email support@222mediagrp.com and tell us what you'd like to do and why. Knowing the problem you're trying to solve helps more than a finished design. We read every suggestion. We can't promise to build each one, but they shape what comes next.
